A decant is a small amount of perfume transferred from an original, full-size bottle into a smaller atomiser. It lets you wear a fragrance for several days, in real conditions, before you spend money on a full bottle.

Yes. Every ScentBloom decant is 100% authentic perfume, taken from the original manufacturer's bottle, then carefully rebottled and packed. We never sell clones, copies or diluted fragrance. ScentBloom is an independent decanting service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the fragrance houses we carry.

Every fragrance is available in 1 ml, 2 ml, 5 ml and 10 ml. The 1 ml is a small vial without a sprayer, made to discover the smell; the 2 ml comes with a sprayer and is ideal for a first real test; 5 ml and 10 ml suit a scent you already know you like or want to travel with.

It depends on how many sprays you use. As a rough guide, one spray is about 0.1 ml, so a 2 ml decant gives roughly 20 sprays: enough to wear the fragrance about a week at 2 to 3 sprays a day.

Designer fragrances come from fashion and beauty houses such as Dior, Giorgio Armani or Yves Saint Laurent and are widely sold in department stores. Niche fragrances come from specialist perfume houses such as Xerjoff or Acqua di Parma, are made in smaller volumes and often use more unusual compositions. Sampling is the easiest way to explore niche scents without paying for a full bottle.

Middle Eastern perfume houses such as Lattafa, Afnan, Armaf, Rasasi and Al Haramain are known for rich, long-lasting compositions built around oud, amber, rose, saffron and sweet resins. Many offer excellent performance at an accessible price. See our Arabic & Middle Eastern perfume samples.

We ship across Canada and to the United States. We don't offer worldwide shipping at the moment.

We ship Monday to Friday and usually process orders within two business days (up to five during busy periods and holidays). You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us.

For hygiene and safety reasons, we can't accept returns or give refunds on samples or decants once the outer box or envelope has been opened, even if the sample is unused. Sealed, unopened orders can be returned if you contact us within 14 days of delivery. See Shipping & Returns for details.

Contact us within 5 days of delivery at info@scentbloom.ca with your order number and photos of the item and packaging. Keep the product until we've reviewed your case, and we'll make it right.

You'll see every payment method available to you at checkout. All payments are processed securely by Shopify.

Keep them upright, away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity (so not in the bathroom). A drawer or a box at room temperature keeps fragrance stable for a long time.

Spray on clean skin at pulse points (neck, wrists, inner elbows) and wear it for a full day. Fragrances change over hours as the top, heart and base notes unfold, so judge a scent on how it smells after a few hours, not just the first spray.
